About Us
Bestree is an Israeli AgTech company developing a molecular propagation platform for crops that are difficult to propagate at scale.
Many high-value crops, including avocado, cacao, nuts, and other woody plants, face a major bottleneck at the nursery stage: elite genetics exist, but producing uniform, disease-free, true-to-type plants reliably and at industrial scale remains slow, costly, and inconsistent. This limits growers’ ability to expand production, improve resilience, and adopt better plant material.
Bestree combines molecular markers, advanced tissue culture protocols, and data-driven propagation know-how to identify the optimal biological window for rooting and acclimatization. Our platform turns plant propagation from a trial-and-error process into a controlled, repeatable production system.
We are starting with avocado as our beachhead crop, where global demand for high-quality clonal rootstocks significantly exceeds supply. From there, the same platform can be expanded to additional recalcitrant crops with strong climate, food security, and commercial relevance.
