Edete
Edete's integrated precision pollination solution gives orchard growers peace of mind by optimizing pollination for both wind and insect-pollinated crops, improving yield, consistency and stability despite nature's unpredictability.

About Us
Edete provides an integrated precision pollination solution for orchards, addressing three major agricultural challenges that result in unpredictable and less-than-optimal pollination:
· Tree bloom desynchronization: A condition where the pollinator tree is not blooming together with the pollinated trees, leading to very poor or even an absence of pollination.
· The global shortage of bees: The population of honeybees and other insects essential for pollination of many varieties is declining, leading to a shortage of supply of hives, increased hive prices, and less-than-optimal pollination.
· Climate variability: Influences growers in many unpredictable ways and increases the risk of poor pollination and lower yields.
Our proprietary technology revolutionizes pollination for both wind and insect-pollinated crops. We harvest, extract, and store pollen, then precisely deliver the pollen with the best genetic compatibility using our unique pollinator machines at the optimal timing. This results in predictable and controlled pollination, which increases yield and reduces volatility. The pollination market globally is over $1B and continues to grow.
Our unique process is commercially available for pistachio growers in California, showing a typical increase of yield by 15-30%, leading to significant financial gains. Service for other varieties such as almonds and cherries will be available soon.
Founded in 2016, Edete ensures controlled, reliable, and scalable pollination, providing growers with consistent results to meet future food demands. We’re nurturing tomorrow’s harvests today, focusing on optimizing pollination in orchards worldwide.

Relevant Challenges
Reduce Land Footprint
Reducing land footprint by improving crop yields, increasing nutritional content, and implementing novel farming systems such as vertical, urban and aquaponic farming as well as insect and algae farms.
Habitat and Species Conservation
Technology deployment to address and scale solutions to conservation challenges such as maintaining and managing protected areas, ensuring wildlife corridors, migration assistance for species threatened by habitat loss, pollinations challenges, conservation of seed and genetic diversity and management of biological invasions. Relates to both terrestrial and marine ecosystems.
