NOF – Natural Offset Farming
Shifting CO2 from the emitters to the field, by addressing farming's cooling needs

About Us
NOF-Natural Offset Farming, an Israeli Climate Tech, has developed an advanced, portable and user-friendly cooling technology, designed for novel post-harvest treatment.
NOF shifts CO2 from the emitters to the field, by addressing farmer’s cooling needs; whilst creating a new and immediate avenue for CO2 utilization and decarbonization applied in the agricultural setting, enhancing photosynthesis and extending shelf life.
NOF’s small, affordable, and efficient cooling device can cool various mediums (e.g., water, air, surfaces) without the need for electrical infrastructure. Its devices can generate a cooling temperature down to -70 degrees C.
NOF has been focusing its efforts in the helping farmers and supply chain farmers to treat perishable fruits and vegetables, reduce food loss, and earn money in a Cooling-as-a-Service model.
Relevant Challenges
Transformation
NOF is offering a new and immediate method of utilizing captured C02 that enables cooling as a secondary use of the carbon, which is fixed for later use in agricultural applications. The company has developed an open system that generates massive cooling energy, with the CO2 reused mainly in the agriculture domain, where it enhances photosynthesis and helps mitigate pathogens. NOF’s negative Carbonic impact is derived directly from the fact that post harvest losses are accounted for 8% of global GHG. By implementing our technology, a substantial reduction of post harvest losses takes place, hence, showcasing impressive impact.
Food Spoilage
Post Harvest and food losses are a major GHG contributor. NOF is tackling post-harvest losses at the farm gate level, in fragmented and disrupted supply chains around the world. NOF is enabling a novel post harvest treatment in places where cold-chain do not exist, extend shelf life of perishable fruits and vegetables dramatically.
Value Chain Integration
NOF provides a unique post harvest treatment through the supply chain, replacing and/or reducing pre-cooling needs, creating massive savings in energy and money.
