About Us
TreeTube is a patented modular system that enables healthy tree growth in urban areas. Trees offer numerous benefits to cities, providing essentials like oxygen, shade, energy savings (temperature reduction), CO2 absorption, and cleaner air—crucial elements in the urban environment. Unfortunately, many urban areas suffer from a shortage of healthy trees due to poor installation systems and limited growth environments beneath solid pavements or sidewalks. This issue is compounded by the risk of breakage, bumps, and potential accidents caused by roots lifting sidewalks.
The system facilitates the coexistence of two separate habitats underground, mitigating conflicts with roots, sidewalks, and surrounding infrastructure. Inside the TreeTube, you’ll find non-compacted soil, air ventilation, irrigation, and efficient drainage, creating optimal conditions for root growth.
Importantly, TreeTube meets civil engineering requirements for load-bearing, even supporting loads from trams, light trains, or similar transportation systems next to roads. This lego-like’ structure empowers landscape and infrastructure architects to provide optimal growing conditions for urban trees with minimal design constraints. TreeTube is versatile, available in different lengths, diameters, and orientations, ensuring adaptability to various urban landscapes.
